Overview

Everyone has a fair and just opportunity to attain their highest level of health. The Covid-19 pandemic exposed every fracture in our health infrastructure and created new barriers for achieving health equity.

An estimated 20 million people continue to struggle with long-term complications from Covid-19, including long Covid. Long Covid encompasses more than 200 identified symptoms with no standardized assessment or treatment protocol in place.

Solutions

We need on-going government investment for the research and development of medical countermeasures to strengthen our protection from Covid-19 and address long Covid. Individuals grappling with long-term Covid effects also require comprehensive support services. That's why we're tirelessly advocating for Guaranteed Income programs to shield vulnerable families from evictions, food insecurity, and the looming threat of poverty.

Progress

Marked By Covid is at the forefront advocating for action at the local, state, and federal level. We ensured vaccine deployment to low-income and communities of color. When made the federal government mail tests and masks free-of-charge. We compelled White House officials to establish the Office of Long Covid Research and Practice and the creation of a Federal Advisory Committee on Long Covid.
